New landscaping a long way off completion

As I think I lamented in a previous post, my best laid plans are far from reaching fruition.  About 3 months of slow and steady work I suspect.  I am currently working on laying the new pavers in the lower garden area, and reseting the garden edging on the side garden.  This week my plan is to get that side garden bed finalised, the fruit trees planted (I bought a new lemon - the old one is on its last legs, and a mandarin), the older strawberry runners moved to a pot (new ones will arrive in June) and the new lavender plants put into their pot.  Sounds simple but it seems to takes me forever I'm afraid.

Clearing away the Summer growth

I have been working on clearing out the existing garden beds, clearing away the plants I want to remove, and lifting the current brick paths around the top garden to make way for the new three raised beds.  And it is taking me about four times as long as I thought it would.  You think that after working on this garden for over four years that I would have got that by now :)  Oh well, at least I enjoy doing it.

Here are some photos of Lombard Street in San Francisco - I am sure that you will recognise it. The blossoms are on trees lining the back streets of the Castro district.

Until next time

Time to tidy the garden

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am going to re-set out the top part of my garden.  In order to get it all ready I have removed all of the finished Summer crops, moved the trellis and olive tree (it is in a pot - I didn't transplant it) and have started moving out all of the extra plants.  This week and I measuring it all up, working out which size garden beds to order, and ordering the bits and pieces.

Continuing with the overseas garden photos theme, I am posting a few from the main street in Sausalito.  Enjoy  Sarah

May update - Photos from the Getty

Hi all

As you can see I have done some work updating the site but more is still to be done.  Over the last couple of weeks I have been on holiday in the USA (California) and have managed to get some lovely photos of gardens and foliage.

To get things rolling here are a couple of photos of the grounds of The Getty:
